Pre-race excitement builds for the Castle Combe circuit as teams prepare for the 2026 campaign. Enthusiastic supporters showcase their team spirit in custom shirts, while racers enjoy a weekend full of thrilling events

Castle Combe marks a special point in the season, and we’re proud to support the team as they return to their home circuit with strong momentum. Sitting third in the championship and closing the gap to second, their progress reflects the commitment and discipline we’ve seen throughout 2026. Every round shows their growth, and Castle Combe is set to continue that upward trajectory.

This month’s preparation has been a easier. Instead of overcoming mechanical setbacks, we were able to provide something different: an opportunity to learn, observe, and develop at World Superbikes and a Pirelli and Metzeler exclusive track day at Donington. The experience offered technical insight, professional guidance, and a fresh perspective that strengthens their approach heading into race week.

The introduction of Metzeler’s new Sportec 01 RS tyre showcased impressive engineering. Built for riders who split time between road and track, it performed far beyond expectations. With guidance from BSB rider Storm Stacey, the team pushed pace and explored the tyre’s limits, achieving consistent 1:39s and even a 1:38 on a thirty‑lap‑old set. It’s a testament to Metzeler’s development and real‑world performance.

As testing begins at Castle Combe, we’re proud to see structured preparation in action. Refining gearing, returning to a proven setup, and settling the bike for a circuit they know intimately is exactly the approach that delivers results. Combe’s fast, technical nature demands precision, and the work put in this week will play a crucial role in shaping their performance across all sessions.

Race schedule for "King of Combe" on July 25-26, 2026, featuring various championship and open races including PSHRA British F1 Sidecar Championship, Moto3 Junior Supersport, and NSC Racing events.

This weekend’s entry into three classes—600 Club, Newcomers Open, and the headline King of Combe—shows the team’s commitment to progression and track time. While the 600 championship remains the primary focus, the additional races offer valuable experience and exposure. Castle Combe always brings out their strongest riding, and we’re excited to see how their preparation translates into pace and consistency.

Supporting this team throughout the season has been a privilege. Their dedication, professionalism, and hunger to improve align perfectly with the values we hold at Roadrunner Motorcycles. Every round demonstrates their resilience and determination, and Castle Combe is set to be another milestone in their journey. We’re proud to stand behind them and look forward to seeing their results unfold.
