We headed to the Kickback Magazine and Custom Show at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern last weekend, bringing proper Stroud customs to one of the UK’s most respected custom events. The show celebrates independent builders, garage creators, and the raw talent behind Britain’s custom scene.
Steve and Andy displayed their own custom bike builds, each showcasing their own work; a trademark blend of precision, creativity, and mechanical honesty. Their bikes stood out not just for the finish, but for the design and professional quality of their builds.
Kickback has become a key event for riders who appreciate custom bikes of all types. From completely fabricated builds to lightly modified models, the Malvern showground was packed with hand‑built machines, rare classics, and innovative engineering ideas.

Steve’s build drew plenty of attention thanks to its proportional lines & purposeful stance, with visitors interested in the anodised gold twisted spoke wheels & overall uniqueness of the build. Most parts used were repurposed from other motorcycle models & universal applications that required modifying or hand‑made components, including the front brake drum backplate bracket engaging the widened fork leg. The only original parts from the donor bike used were the forklegs, fuel tank & frame. Feedback was positive.

Andy’s custom bike brought a different flavour, a subtle, unique & elegant build that people loved, mostly because of its simple, tidy look and the way everything just works together. From the mini ape handlebars to the custom fabricated exhausts & mudguards, Visitors liked how classic & cool it felt, with clean lines and a retro look. Some people said it looked like something you’d happily ride every day - which is exactly what Andy does with it outside of winter.
The Kickback atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and full of enthusiasm for the craft. Builders swapped ideas, compared notes, and shared stories about the challenges behind their creations. It was a reminder of how strong and supportive the UK custom motorcycle community can be.
For Roadrunner Motorcycles, attending Kickback wasn’t just about showing bikes. It was about representing the Cotswolds’ riding community, supporting independent engineering, and demonstrating the value of proper workshop expertise.

Events like Kickback help keep the custom scene alive by giving builders a platform to show what’s possible with skill, patience, and imagination. Roadrunner Motorcycles was proud to have members of our team representing their work, and the response to Steve and Andy’s bikes made the weekend even more rewarding.
As the team returned to Stroud, the workshop was already buzzing with new ideas, fresh inspiration, and conversations sparked by the show. Roadrunner's Andy & Steve will definitely be back, bringing more craftsmanship, more creativity, and more Cotswold engineering to the UK custom stage.
