Cadwell Park Race Weekend: A Strong Step Forward for the Hardiman Race Team

Cadwell Park is always a circuit that demands commitment, and this round proved to be one of the most rewarding yet for the Hardiman Race Team. As sponsors, we had the chance to watch Aaron build on last year’s progress and turn it into a weekend packed with personal bests, smart decisions and well‑earned results.

Friday’s test sessions were the first sign that things were moving in the right direction. After adjusting gearing and settling into the flow of the track, Aaron quickly found a rhythm. Consistent laps in the low 1:40s showed clear improvement on last season, giving everyone confidence heading into the competitive sessions ahead.
Qualifying on Saturday brought a busier grid than usual, with entries increased to meet demand. Cadwell is narrow at the best of times, so track space was at a premium. Aaron managed to get out early, avoid the worst of the traffic and put in a strong lap that secured fourth for the 600 Club and a front‑row start for the Newcomer Open.

The first 600 Club race highlighted just how competitive the field was. A sharp launch off the line put Aaron straight into the mix, and although he lost a couple of positions in the early laps, he settled into a steady pace. Holding fourth against a strong grid was a solid result and a good marker for the rest of the weekend.
The Newcomer Open race later that day brought the first big moment. Another clean start put Aaron into the lead early on. After briefly dropping to second, he stayed composed, waited for an opportunity and reclaimed the position when the rider ahead made an error. Bringing home the win was a milestone for him and a proud moment for us as sponsors.

Sunday’s racing continued the upward trend. In 600 Club Race 2, Aaron moved into second early and inherited the lead when the front rider fell. Against a full grid, he kept his pace consistent, set a new personal best and secured an impressive second place. It was a performance built on focus rather than risk.
The final race of the weekend, 600 Club Race 3, was the standout. Starting from the front row, Aaron made another strong launch and took control from the opening corner. Lap after lap he kept things tidy, even improving his pace on older tyres. Crossing the line in first place capped off a weekend of genuine progress.
